Migration of Maori

According to Ms Maude taught us about about the migration of maori’s. It was about how they got to New Zealand and how they survived. There were seven main boats and the names were called Aotea, Tainui, Te Arawa, Tokomaru, Kurahaupo, Takitimu, and Mataatua. To survive the parents had to go hunt for food or cook while their children stay home with their grandparents. The first thing they needed to look for was food, then their shelter, and lastly their water. Then their was this man called Ngatoroirangi that drew the outline of New Zealand.
