Mrs Manu's last day of teaching

Today was the last day of Mrs Manu teaching. We had to write a goodbye letter to her, it was very sad. Even though I wasn't in room 1 with her I will still miss her a lot. I hope she comes back very soon to Glen Innes School. We will miss her and thanked her for what she has done for the school. She looked very pretty in her dress with her flower and lollie necklace. This is a photo of her giving me a kiss and a hug. We had to shake her hand then gave her a kiss and a hug to say goodbye. One thing she said that really hit me was it's easy to say hello but it's hard to say goodbye. I hope she has a great time on her retirement.

Easter art lesson

For art we had to decorate cupcakes but with a easter theme. We could only use two colours and one type of topping. This is my cupcake but I didn’t finish it. I looked around the classroom and I thought that my one looked weird because the whiskers are not the same shape. Mrs Tuakoi had to chose four and then Mrs Mary had to pick the winner. I enjoyed doing art and I hope we can do it again.

Walht: create a brochure

These past few days we learned how to make a online brochure. The focus of my brochure is to keep the Omaru Creek clean. I think that the dragonflies deserve a cleaner creek because it’s more healthier for them. Also when there is many dragonflies then it shows that the Omaru Creek is a healthy creek for dragonflies to live in.

Heavy rain in Taranaki

In the Taranaki area there will be heavy rain and flooding. I hope that they will be okay for tonight. Taranaki is kind of a small place but it’s still going to rain cats and dogs. I have never been to Taranaki but I would like to go there some day. So I really hope that Taranaki will be safe for tonight.

Omaru Creek poem

Walt: write a poem

Lakai is a electrifying eel with razor sharp teeth

Lakai is the flowing water with the sun shining on the surface

Lakai is the hard rocks with aquatic weeds surrounding it
